A hidden gem of a beach offering stunning views of both the sea and the city. The car park is on the smaller side, but it's rarely an issue due to the low number of visitors. The area is dotted with WW2 pillboxes and tank traps, making it a fascinating spot to explore with kids or to simply collect some seashells. :)

The beach is incredible, extending for miles. It's very serene and tranquil, especially when the tide recedes, revealing numerous shells and stones. There are many fascinating tank traps and stone structures to explore. Although the car park is small, it is rarely crowded. Be prepared for a bit of a workout, as you'll need to climb up and down the sand dunes to reach the beach.

A charming section of the east coast beaches north of Aberdeen, Blackdog is typically less crowded due to limited parking. Once you reach the beach, it extends for 10 miles north to Newburgh and is a pleasure to stroll along, even on a windy January afternoon like our visit. The highlight was undoubtedly the rainbow.

This beach is stunning, offering breathtaking views of the bay. However, parking is quite limited, which can be challenging on weekends and other busy times. Additionally, access to the beach isn't the easiest; we had to cross some stepping stones over a stream, or alternatively, you can go over the dunes.

Beautiful long beach, but not easily accessible for those with disabilities or the elderly. The path from the car park to the beach is obstructed by numerous high, steep dunes. Additionally, the car park itself is quite small and often crowded with dog walkers, so finding a parking spot can be challenging. If you are fit and able, the walk is worthwhile; otherwise, consider visiting nearby Bemeadie, which offers easier access.
