4 Frustrating

The beach is beautiful and offers great views, but the car park has become a nightmare in the past few months. The potholes are now so bad that they have damaged my car.

The beach is peaceful and doesn't seem very crowded. If you visit with a group, you'll have plenty of space and time to enjoy together. It's a nice beach, but the roads leading to it are not well-developed and there are no food options nearby. Be sure to bring enough food and drinks with you.

The road to the car park is a bit rough with potholes, but the views towards Kilve and Hinkley Point are fantastic. Perfect for a leisurely walk.

The beach is very peaceful with beautiful views and lots of small fossils. I visited with my three kids aged 11, 8, and 6, and they all had a great time exploring. We dipped our toes in the sea, had a picnic, and found fossils, a dead thornray skeleton, and lots of nice driftwood. This beach is more suited for nature and outdoor lovers. The large stones make it difficult to walk on, so I recommend wearing old trainers, walking boots, wellies, or walking sandals. It may not be ideal for those with mobility limitations, very small children, or babies. There is a flat stoney/grassy path/track along the top of the beach that leads to Kilve (about 2 miles). Parking is available in a small free area accessed via a rough track, with a short walk down to the beach/coast path. From here, you can see the Hinkley building work to your right and views of Burnham On Sea, Brean Down, Steepholm, Flatholm, and Wales on a clear day. There are no facilities here, but if you enjoy scrambling across rocks, searching for pebbles and fossils, and spending time outdoors, this beach is worth a visit.

This spot is incredibly peaceful with stunning views and an abundance of small fossils. I visited with two 11-year-olds, an 8-year-old, and a 6-year-old, and they all had a blast exploring freely. We dipped our toes in the sea, enjoyed a picnic, and discovered fossils, a dead thornray skeleton, and plenty of beautiful driftwood. It's an ideal destination for nature and outdoor enthusiasts. The beach is challenging to walk on due to the large stones, so I recommend wearing old trainers, walking boots, wellies, or walking sandals. It's not suitable for those with mobility issues, very young children, or babies. There's a flat, stony, grassy path that runs along the top of the beach, leading all the way to Kilve, about 2 miles away. A small, free parking area is accessible via a rough track, followed by a short walk to the beach or coast path. From here, you can see the imposing Hinkley building work to your right and, on a clear day, Burnham On Sea, Brean Down, Steepholm, Flatholm, and even Wales in the distance. There are no facilities here, which adds to its charm. This place may not appeal to everyone, but if you enjoy scrambling over rocks, searching for pebbles and fossils, and spending time outdoors, it's definitely worth a visit.
