The beach is one of the few things in life that comes for free, but don't get too excited because the parking will cost you about seven bucks a day and you have to pay through your phone. The beach itself is pretty, but don't let your guard down when jellyfish are around. Restrooms are usually clean, but there are times when they're a mess. Don't even think about leaving your valuables in your car or on the beach unattended, as there have been reports of homeless people sleeping in the tunnels. Weekends are a nightmare, so you better get there early if you want a parking spot. You can rent lounge chairs and cabanas, but don't count on the food truck to be there every time. Bring your own food and drinks to avoid the overpriced food truck. Don't forget your umbrella and sunscreen, as the sun can be brutal. All in all, it's a great place to spend the day, but keep your wits about you, as you would in any other public place.
