I had the pleasure of spending a week at the beach in mid-October for a wedding. The weather was absolutely fantastic, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that there were still plenty of businesses open despite it being the off season. The beach is absolutely stunning! It's not overly commercialized and there aren't too many people around, especially when I visited in the third week of August. The beach itself is lovely and you can wade out quite far without it becoming too deep. However, it's important to note that there are no lifeguards on duty. During our stay, we also checked out Myrtle Beach, but we found Ocean Isle to be far superior. I highly recommend a visit to this hidden gem!
