This beach was a truly pleasant and serene spot to simply sit down, unwind, and find peace. It's possible to stroll all the way to the edge of the cape and still be in shallow waters. However, it's important to exercise caution due to the presence of rip tides. If you're seeking a tranquil place to relax with a good book and gently sloping shorelines, this location is perfect.

I visited Bald Head beach for the first time and had an interesting encounter. While I was fishing, a shark measuring around 2-3 feet swam between me and the shore. Surprised by this, I decided to use a bluefish I had caught as bait. I cast it about 30 yards out, hoping to catch another shark of the same size. However, to my surprise, I ended up hooking a massive shark measuring around 7-8 feet! After a challenging fight that lasted approximately 15 minutes, the shark managed to snap my line. Despite this setback, I had a great time that evening as I hooked and caught around 30-40 Spanish, blues, ladies, and even a speckled trout, all using a plug. It was a lot of fun!

I'm not quite sure what activities others engage in at Frying Pan Shoals, but as adventurous sea kayakers, we head there to have a blast in the waves. It's an absolute thrill, although it's important to note that it's not suitable for inexperienced paddlers.
