I absolutely adore this beach and make it a point to visit every year. The stunning sunsets and sunrises, as well as the presence of dolphins and wild horses, make my experience all the more memorable. The sand dunes are also a favorite of mine. I simply cannot get enough of this place!

The beach is a beautiful stretch of coastline that is home to wild horses that have been living there since the Spanish armada ships crashed. However, it is disheartening to see how much development has taken place. The horses have become accustomed to the presence of humans due to the increasing number of houses being built in their habitat. The area is starting to resemble just another development, with no paved roads in sight.

This picturesque beach offers endless opportunities to create lasting memories. Our family had a blast driving along the secluded shoreline, catching glimpses of the majestic wild horses. Nighttime crab hunting was a thrilling adventure, and we captured some incredible photos at the historic Corolla park. One unforgettable moment was when I waved to military personnel from a passing helicopter while riding in the bed of a truck, feeling the wind in my hair. Corolla beach truly captured my heart.

This beach is an absolute gem, perfect for a leisurely day in the sun. We had the opportunity to dive from the Virginia/North Carolina line all the way to the end, and it was truly a breathtaking experience. We were even lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the wild horses and their adorable offspring, making our visit all the more special. This beach has definitely earned a place in my heart as one of my all-time favorites.

During our September visit to the beach, we were pleasantly surprised to find that there was ample space for everyone to spread out and enjoy the tranquility. The expansive stretches of sand provided the ideal setting for flying kites, and we even managed to keep one airborne for several hours due to the strong gusts of wind. The seashells were breathtakingly beautiful and diverse, and following a storm, I was able to collect some exquisite sea glass. All in all, this OBX beach is a serene and uncrowded haven that we highly recommend.
