Although we enjoyed our time there, the wind was incredibly powerful.

The beach is serene, compact, and aesthetically pleasing. However, it's likely that the passing Amtrak train causes some disturbance. Additionally, according to a staff member, the beach experiences strong winds during the winter and spring seasons. The State Parks website allows for camping reservations.

Continuing my journey from the 26th, I embarked on a scenic coastal drive from 101 San Diego to 101@1 San Francisco. During this journey, I made a pitstop at the breathtaking Gaviota Beach. The beach's natural beauty left me in awe, with its crystal-clear waters and soft sands. The sound of the waves crashing against the shore was music to my ears, and the fresh ocean breeze was invigorating. I spent my time there lounging on the beach, soaking up the sun, and taking in the stunning views. Gaviota Beach is truly a hidden gem, and I feel grateful to have experienced its beauty during my travels.

This beach is a real treasure of California. It's a rare sight to see such natural beauty without many people around. On either side of the small beach, there are some lovely tide pools to explore. Due to its small size, only a limited number of visitors are allowed to park and visit this state park.
