We took our furry friend to this beach for her first ocean experience, and it was a great choice. As a young pup, we wanted a smaller beach where we could keep an eye on her during off-leash hours. This beach was just the right size for us to feel comfortable. Even on a Saturday afternoon, it wasn't too crowded, which made for a relaxing outing.

The beach is a wonderful destination that can be easily accessed by parking your car in a convenient spot located north of Bodega Bay. The stunning beauty of the coast and the sea can be fully appreciated on a clear day, making it a perfect location for a relaxing day out.

This beach may be small, but it's perfect for dog owners and nature enthusiasts alike. The tide pools are fascinating to explore, and there are even a few caves that provide shelter from the wind. Despite its size, there's ample free parking available, even on busy weekends.

The stretch of coastline north of Santa Cruz, California, is a breathtaking and tranquil sight that I never tire of visiting. While Mitchell's Cove Beach is a popular spot, there are plenty of other beaches to explore along this coast. This particular beach is typically peaceful, making it an ideal location for a romantic dinner or watching the sunset. Even on warmer days, a gentle breeze keeps the temperature comfortable. Accessing the beach is simple, as it's just a short drive north on Highway One from Santa Cruz. However, parking can be a bit challenging since it's located along the road.

The beach is absolutely amazing, boasting stunning rock formations that are truly a sight to behold. During my visit, I had the opportunity to leave my own personal touch in the form of a charming harbor seal sand sculpture atop one of the rocks. While the beach does have a fair amount of seaweed, it only adds to the natural beauty of the area. Additionally, it's worth noting that the beach is quite popular with dog owners, so you're likely to see plenty of furry friends frolicking in the sand.
