4 Frustrating

Stengle Beach is still closed as of September 2022. Unfortunately that didn't stop several visitors from tearing down the wooden blockage and leaving their Labor Day weekend trash behind on the beach.

The views are stunning! You can hear the waves crashing against the large rocks, and see the ocean vegetation and wild flowers. Unfortunately, the stairs are closed, so you won't be able to access the water and sand. But, the views alone make it worth the visit!

I was unable to access the beach as the stairs were blocked off by a wooden gate that had been nailed into place. There were no signs or indications as to why the beach was closed or for how long. Additionally, all of the other trails in the area are private, so I was unable to explore further.

The sunset was spectacular from this beach, and I spotted plenty of starfish and shells on the rocks.

I experienced the most breathtaking sunset of my life at this beach. It was tranquil, peaceful, and simply stunning. California is renowned for its sunsets, but the view from this beach was truly unique.
