Lawa'i Beach

Although the beach may be on the smaller side, it is an exceptional location for snorkeling. I was fortunate enough to witness an abundance of fish and a couple of sea turtles during my time there. Snorkeling was an absolute delight. Additionally, the beach is a prime location for viewing the sunset. Although I only had the opportunity to experience one sunset, it was absolutely breathtaking. Hopefully, in the future, I will be able to return to this wonderful spot.

This lovely public beach may be small in size, but it is certainly not lacking in beauty. With a dedicated lifeguard on duty, visitors can enjoy the waves with added peace of mind. Keep an eye out for the resident monk seal, who can often be found lounging near the resort. As always, it is important to respect the local wildlife and avoid disturbing them. If you need refreshment or equipment, the Lawai Resort is happy to oblige. Surfing enthusiasts will find plenty of fellow wave-riders here, and with ample public parking available, it's easy to spend a full day enjoying the sun, sand, and sea.

Located among an array of condos and resorts, lies a quaint and cozy beach that is a surfer's paradise. This local gem is a popular spot for surfers to showcase their skills, making it an ideal spot for spectators to witness the thrill of the waves. Despite its small size, this beach is always buzzing with activity, with snorkeling and turtle sightings being a common occurrence. While not many people are seen lounging or beach combing, there is a stand that sells shaved ice and some food to keep you fueled. For those looking for a more upscale dining experience, the Beach House is a must-visit. However, reservations are a must! The beach is also a great spot to catch the sunset, with benches along the walkway providing the perfect vantage point. The only downside is that parking can be a bit of a challenge. Nevertheless, this beach is conveniently located not far from the main Poipu shopping area, making it a must-visit for anyone in the area.

This beach is a true gem, offering a plethora of snorkeling opportunities. While the entry into the water may be slightly challenging due to the abundance of rocks, there is a section where a sandy stretch extends far out. If you need assistance, fellow beach enthusiasts are more than willing to lend a hand. Additionally, there are ample flat rocks available to sit on while you put on your fins. Conveniently located across the street is a bathroom, and an outdoor shower is available for rinsing off after a refreshing dip in the sea.

This beach is renowned for its exceptional snorkeling opportunities, but alas, the winds were too strong during our visit. Despite this setback, we were able to witness some truly breathtaking sunsets that left us in awe.
