This beach has become one of our preferred spots near home. I adore the stunning vistas, but what I enjoy most is the fact that it's never too crowded whenever we visit. There's plenty of room for everyone, whether you want to fish, swim, bodyboard, have a picnic or a barbecue, or simply relax and watch the tides. The sunsets here are also breathtaking. A few things to keep in mind: +Be mindful of the waves, which can be quite strong depending on the time of day and year, if you choose to swim. +When the tide is low, be cautious of the steep and deep drop-off on the other side of the rocks. It may not appear to be much, but it can be hazardous if you aren't careful. +As with all beaches on the island, take everything you bring with you, and be sure to dispose of your trash in the bins located near the parking areas. It's crucial to clean up after yourself and respect the property so that others can enjoy it after you.

Based on what I've read in other reviews, it appears that this beach has been thoroughly cleaned up. Despite being a Saturday, there were very few people around, making it quite secluded. While spending time there, I saw several turtles swimming and feeding in the water, occasionally coming up for air before diving back down. It seems that the Navy only allows their cottage patrons to use the beach, but there was no one around to enforce this rule. Since we have DOD ID, we didn't anticipate any issues. Overall, the beach is now quite lovely. The only downside is that the walk to get there can be a bit treacherous due to the presence of glass and thorny plants, so it's important to be cautious.
