It is disheartening to witness the blatant disregard for shoreline access laws by the military, who seem to have no qualms about denying taxpayers the opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking beauty of Oahu's finest beaches. It is a shame that such a remarkable natural wonder is being monopolized and restricted by those who have no appreciation for its true value. The beach, which should be a source of joy and relaxation, has become a symbol of oppression and inequality. It is a sad state of affairs when the very people who are meant to protect and serve the public are the ones who are denying them their right to access and enjoy this precious resource.

What a lovely spot to catch some waves! The ocean here has a bit of a rocky edge, so when the swells are high, it's definitely not for the faint of heart. But hey, who wants to play it safe all the time? Get out there and test your skills on the waves, just be sure to bring your A-game!

The beach is a surfer's paradise with excellent waves that have been highly rated by those who ride them. The sandy expanse is also a great spot for sunbathing and relaxing. However, it lacks a rinse station, which may be inconvenient for some visitors. There is a designated area for changing, and portalets are available for public use.

This lovely beach located on the Marine Corps base is a fantastic spot for indulging in water activities such as swimming and surfing. The presence of vigilant lifeguards ensures a safe and secure experience. Additionally, there are convenient amenities like showers and a porta potty that add to the comfort of visitors. Overall, it's a wonderful place to soak up the sun and enjoy the serene beauty of the ocean.

Fantastic beach with two distinct surf breaks, North Beach and Pyramid Rock. The eastern most spot, North Beach, is a dynamic location that changes with the seasons. During winter, the sandbars cover the reef, creating heavy and challenging waves that can be both a blessing and a curse. In contrast, springtime exposes the reef, resulting in a sloppier yet consistent wave that holds up well even with onshore winds. North Beach is known for its excellent waves, but it can get crowded, unlike the less frequented Pyramid Rock on the western side. Pyramid Rock is a rocky outcropping reef break that offers lefts and rights depending on the swell. It is windier than North Beach, but on light wind days with swell, it can produce epic waves. However, it is not uncommon to spot tiger sharks in the line-up as the entrance to Kaneohe Bay is nearby. Both surf breaks attract skilled surfers, and beginners are advised to surf on smaller days and adhere to the etiquette. Apart from the surf breaks, the beaches are perfect for family outings and relaxation. Dogs are allowed on the beach after 1500, and there are lifeguards to ensure safety during heavy swells. It is crucial to pay attention to the flags and follow the rules to avoid accidents. Overall, MCBH is a military base with a world-class beach that offers great waves, stunning views, and plenty of opportunities to unwind.
