Manini'owali Beach

The beach is absolutely stunning! The waves are quite sizable, and the sand on the shore is exceptionally grainy due to the waves' constant churning. Despite this, the sand is still incredibly smooth and enjoyable to walk on. Restrooms are conveniently available for use. However, be warned that the beach can become quite congested after 10:00am, even on a weekday. Parking may also be a bit of a challenge due to limited space. Nonetheless, accessing the beach does not require a 4-wheel drive vehicle.

This beach is quite popular among tourists on the island. It boasts a stunning sandy shoreline with immense waves, creating an ideal spot for wave pool enthusiasts. We joined the crowd to experience the thrill of jumping the waves, and it was an exciting adventure. However, it's essential to be cautious of the rocks lurking beneath the surface near the shore. Moving a little further south from the wave pool, you'll find a rocky section with numerous tide pools. This secluded spot is perfect for capturing some stunning photos and is definitely worth a visit.

This beach has everything you could possibly desire for a perfect day in the sun. It is bustling with people, yet not overcrowded, and boasts an ample expanse of soft, velvety sand. There are plenty of spots to set up an umbrella (which I highly suggest you bring along), and the water is refreshingly cool and inviting. The tide is perfect for boogie boarding, yet gentle enough for children who are comfortable in the water. A vigilant lifeguard is on duty, and there are public showers available for removing sand after a day of fun in the sun. Additionally, washrooms are close by, and there is plenty of parking available. I would rate this beach a 10/10 and would undoubtedly return for another visit.

Our experience at this beach was delightful. The parking was conveniently located and the presence of bathrooms and showers made our visit more comfortable. Although the wind was quite strong, causing occasional sand to blow, it did not hinder our enjoyment of the picturesque scenery and the soothing sound of the waves. Additionally, we were fortunate enough to witness a variety of fish and turtles, some of considerable size.

This beach was an absolute delight. It offers a fantastic opportunity for boogie boarding, but we chose to frolic in the waves instead, which was just as thrilling. The parking lot is of a decent size, with at least 20 spots available, but if you're willing to walk a bit, there are other options. We arrived around 3 pm, just as people were leaving, and managed to snag a great spot. The water was crystal clear and free of any murkiness. The waves were quite strong and managed to push me under a couple of times, so if you're bringing children, be sure to keep a watchful eye on them. While the ocean is relatively shallow when you first step in, be cautious as the tide can quickly sweep you into deeper waters.
