Hands down the best beach in Lake Tahoe. The turquoise water over there breathtaking. Lake Tahoe itself is beautiful, but there is something about Sand Harbor that makes you never to get over it. Tips - Come as early as possible. The parking is big, but gets filled quickly. There is a $15 day pass to get in for out of state cars and a little less for Nevada state cars.

This is an amazing state park. There is limited parking! if you want to make sure you get it, be there early morning! Kayaking, canoeing, swimming; enjoy!

Sand Harbor Beach is another gem at Lake Tahoe. Turquoise waters and scenic rock formations, it's a fantastic spot for swimming, and picnicking. The beach is well-maintained, plenty of space to relax and enjoy the breathtaking views. We had a picnic there, and it was good.

Get there early; parking fills up quick. It is $15.00 for a day pass. This is one of the best places to go on a paddle board. It is extremely beautiful.

Wonderful kayaking spot! We loved the clear water, beautiful trees and boulders lining the shore, and mountains across the way. The sun is intense so bring sunscreen out on the water with you so you can reapply often. Bring water and back up water. We had to return to our car earlier than we would’ve liked because we drank all our water. Be sure to pack a bag with you to collect any wrappers or garbage to keep the park beautiful. Get there very early. I recommend before 7am. We arrived at 7:15am and sat in line for an hour. We made it but we had to wait quite awhile as many cars arrived before us.
