Absolutely stunning! It would have been such a blast to pack camping gear and spend the night somewhere along the lake. There were numerous spots to set up.

Fantastic trail to reach the destination. Approached from the north side and arrived just at dusk. I was astonished by the extensive beach area (rocky, not sandy) just beyond the pine trees. I overlanded in my truck with a rooftop tent, but if you have regular tents and perhaps a foam mattress to handle the rocks, you could camp anywhere near the water's edge along the beach. On this particular day, the wind was strong, but since the beach is on the east side, the water was calm when I got there. I plan on returning with friends.
