Latest reviews on Vallauris's beaches

Soleil Beach

Golfe Juan boasts a lovely sandy beach with a convenient car park and marina nearby. However, it tends to get quite crowded, especially during peak season. Locals, particularly the older generation, stake their claim on prime beach real estate early in the morning and fiercely defend it. To secure a good spot, it's best to arrive early, especially in July and August. Due to Covid-19, the beach was less crowded than usual, and some of the promenade restaurants were only partially open. Keep in mind that prices can be quite steep.

La Figuerette

This sandy beach is small yet delightful, offering a lovely view. It is perfect for children, and the section nearer to the port is particularly enjoyable.

Plage de la Salis

This beach is great and smoking is prohibited.

Plage de la Batterie

We stayed in this town for three nights without much knowledge about it, but it turned out to be a delightful surprise. The town offers delicious food, enjoyable shopping, friendly locals, and a fantastic beach. The beach is conveniently located just across the street from our rental apartment. The beach attracts a mix of local residents and tourists from around the country, but there are only a few international travelers. I'm not sure why, because there is so much to love about this place. The beach itself is long, wide, and impeccably clean. The majority of it is open to the public, and you can either bring your own equipment or rent some from various kiosks and shops. Along the beach, there is a lovely boardwalk made mostly of wooden planks. It can be a bit bumpy at times if you have a stroller or wheelchair, but it adds to the boardwalk's charm. You'll find numerous restaurants with stunning ocean views. Most of them have similar menus and tend to be quite pricey. However, if you venture a bit further, we discovered a fantastic dining option just before the Marina. This beach is truly exceptional. It remains safe even after dark and provides public toilets and showers. There are parking lots available, but they tend to fill up quickly, especially on weekends. If possible, it's best to walk. Overall, it's a fantastic place to visit.
