Trebetherick - all beaches

This beach is a true gem! It's a safe haven for kids, with plenty of room to play and lifeguards on duty to ensure everyone's safety. There are also food outlets available, although the staff may not always be the friendliest. The only downside is the car park, which can be a bit of a hassle. While there are options to pay with coins or by phone, they can be slow and frustrating. Alternatively, you can pay through a smartphone app, but the reception can be spotty and the download time can be lengthy. After spending half an hour trying to pay for parking, I was left feeling quite irritable.

This beach is truly remarkable. It appears to be relatively undiscovered by tourists.

This stunning beach boasts lifeguards on duty during the busiest times of the year. Visitors can take advantage of the convenient amenities, including restrooms, an ice cream truck, a shop, and a cozy hut offering hot food and drinks. The parking fees are quite reasonable and can be paid with cash or debit cards. Additionally, when the tide is low, a magnificent sea pool is available for all to enjoy.

We parked at Rock Road car park and were delighted to find a great sandy beach, perfect for kids as the waters were calm and ideal for dog walking. We also had the option of walking to Daymar Bay or taking the ferry across to Padstow.

Undoubtedly, this beach stands out among the seven. Its size is just right, and the waters are shallow enough for young children to paddle for miles when the tide is out. The RNLI is also present during the peak season, providing a sense of security. I have heard that the surf can be impressive as well. If parking is necessary, it is available across the road, but be aware that only coins are accepted. The beach café is a delightful spot to grab the best ice cream, snacks, and drinks in the area. They also offer paddle, surf, and bodyboard rentals. Even at the beginning of summer, the beach never feels too crowded.

This sandy blue flag beach offers something for everyone and is always a pleasure to visit. The beach cafe serves breakfast, pizza, and good coffee, as well as renting out wetsuits and body boards. You can also take a short walk to Padstow Farm shop, which has a lovely selection. In the summer, there is a lifeguard on duty and nearby toilets, although there is now a 50p fee to use them as Cornwall council no longer maintains them. Dogs are not allowed on the beach in the summer. Additionally, there is a lovely walk to Harlyn and a longer one to Padstow along the coastal path.
