My visit to Cornwall was made all the more special by the coastal walk from Lellizick Farm. I was taken aback when I stumbled upon this cove, as the tide was in and there was no beach. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking and the strong wind made the experience even more thrilling. I made my way up to the beacon tower, known as Stepper's Point, and was able to admire the small islands on either side of the point through the two windows. I highly recommend the SW Coast Path to anyone visiting Cornwall, and I wish I had had another day to explore it further.

The beach was sandy, not too busy when we visited, and the fog was quite pleasant. There was a car park for £5, but there were no other amenities, such as toilets. Nevertheless, the beach and the view were both wonderful.

The view of the beach from the South West Coastal Path is stunning. Access to the beach is only possible by boat during low tide. The cliffs above the beach are quite steep, and there is often livestock roaming around, so it is important to keep dogs on a lead at all times, as both dogs and livestock have been known to fall off the cliff.

Butterhole is a stunning spot on the north coast of Cornwall. You won't be able to get there by car, you'll have to hike to it. The beach is not suitable for picnics, buckets and spades, or surf boards, as it is surrounded by vertical cliffs and a very steep, ancient sheep path that is only visible to sheep. It's not suitable for kids, pets, or wheelchairs, and there is no parking. It's only for the properly kitted climber or local lunatic. Once you get there, it's so beautiful that it's hard to leave.
