Visited this place on a day in August and was extremely disappointed to find that the tide didn't come in until 7:30 PM! The kids were left with a beach that didn't even have clear sand; it was all black underneath and not soft enough to play in. With no water and the day being very hot, it was a letdown. However, the scenery nearby was pleasant, especially around the lake with swan and flamingo boat rides. The boat rides cost £15 for 30 minutes (you have to time yourself on a mobile) and accommodate only 4-5 people at a time. Two people need to paddle with their feet, which can get a bit tiring. There are also other boats on the opposite side that charge £5 for adults and £4 for children each. Overall, it's a nice place for a stroll, but if there's no tide, I wouldn't recommend bringing your children!
This charming small sandy beach offers a delightful escape. The tide fluctuates significantly, so it's advisable to plan ahead. At times, you can stroll out to Little Eye, while other times the sea covers the marine lake entirely. In the summer, the beach comes alive with activities like donkey rides and nearby refreshment options. Keep an eye out for jellyfish, especially when the sea is warmer.
