We parked at the car park at Formby Point and took a short stroll to reach the beach. The beach is absolutely beautiful, stretching out as far as the eye can see. It was a delightful experience walking on the beach, and the sand dunes added an extra element of fun. No matter your age, you can still enjoy climbing to the top and sliding down the dunes. I highly recommend visiting Formby Beach for a great time.

This beach is incredibly welcoming to dogs, allowing them to run freely for hours. The only area where dogs must be on a leash is the Red Squirrel Walk. The car park on Lifeboat Road offers plenty of spaces, including designated spots for horseboxes and trailers. Parking is priced at £8.50 per vehicle for the entire day, but National Trust members can park for free. Additionally, there is a Snugburys ice cream truck that serves dog-friendly ice cream, as well as several portable toilets. The sand dunes are massive and provide a thrilling experience for adventurers of all ages.

The beach is absolutely stunning! It's about a 1.5-hour drive from Central Manchester, and we were thrilled to discover this hidden gem. Parking costs £8 for the entire day, but National Trust Members can park for free. The only restroom facilities are located by the car park and consist of portable toilets. The walking trail to the beach was lovely and took us approximately ten minutes. There was a raised boardwalk that led down to the beach. It was comforting to see lifeguards patrolling the beach. Fortunately, we visited during the last weekend of the summer holidays and were blessed with fantastic weather. I would recommend being prepared and bringing everything you need since there are no amenities available except for the toilets, which close at 4:30 pm. So make sure to pack a picnic, towel, sunshade, and plenty of drinks! This beach is naturally beautiful, with stunning sand dunes, and it's incredibly clean. I highly recommend it for a relaxing day by the beach. Thumbs up!

This beach near Manchester is one of my favorites to visit. I really enjoy the natural surroundings without any buildings or cars to spoil it. There are a few car parks available, but they tend to fill up quickly on hot days, so it's best to arrive early if possible. You can explore the red squirrel and tree areas or make your way across the sand dunes to reach the beach. It's a stunning location that I will definitely keep coming back to!

6 Pleasant

Formby Beach is a peaceful and enjoyable place to relax and have a lovely evening. The beach and the walking paths around it create a beautiful setting. However, it's worth noting that the parking area is about a 7 to 8-minute walk away along a sandy path, which can be a bit challenging. So, when you plan your next trip to Formby Beach, keep this in mind. The beach has a calm and quiet atmosphere with very few people and no staff, visitors, shops, or amenities like beach chairs and umbrellas that you might find in places like Dubai or the Maldives. So, it's important to adjust your expectations and not expect a luxurious beach experience like those destinations. But don't worry, the walking paths and sitting areas near the parking facilities are really enjoyable. The paths let you explore the natural surroundings while taking a leisurely walk, and the sitting areas provide a comfortable and pleasant space to relax and unwind. In summary, Formby Beach is a peaceful haven where you can escape and have a wonderful evening. While it may not have the bustling atmosphere and amenities of more luxurious beaches, the walking paths and sitting areas near the parking facilities offer a serene and enjoyable experience. Just remember to plan and prepare accordingly, considering the distance from the parking area and the sandy path you'll need to walk. The cost of car parking is £7.50 per car from dawn till dusk. This beach could benefit from attention from local authorities, the government, or private companies.
