I went to a peaceful beach along a stunning coastline today. The tide was out, so I couldn't go into the sea to paddle due to the dangerous quicksand and mud. There were a few sea puddles left, but I enjoyed a lovely walk along the beach instead. The pier was closed, and there were hardly any people around because it's the off-peak season. Despite that, the sun was shining, and it was very windy by the seafront. The beach is close to a cinema, bowling alley, and retail park, and it's not far from the town. If you're looking to swim or paddle, I recommend going to Ainsdale as there is plenty of space for everyone on the beach.

My family has cherished memories of Southport Beach from our childhood. We chose to scatter our mother's ashes here so we could always return to this beautiful place to remember her. It's a lovely beach for a walk in any weather.

The beach is massive, with the water stretching far back. I returned for the airshow, which was surprisingly hot at 27 degrees Celsius. However, there is a lack of public restrooms provided by the businesses.

This beach is a fantastic destination for families, with lots of rides and attractions for kids to enjoy. The town itself is charming, with plenty of shops offering a diverse range of products and numerous dining options available.

4 Frustrating

I visited this beach in August and was disappointed to discover that the tide didn't come in until 7.30pm. The kids had a beach with dark sand that wasn't very soft to play in. With no water and a hot day, I was let down by the experience. However, the scenery was enjoyable near the lake with swan and flamingo boat rides available. The boat rides cost £15 for 30 minutes and only fit 4/5 people at a time. Two people have to paddle with their feet, which can be tiring. There are other boats on the opposite side that charge £5 for adults and £4 for children. Overall, it's a nice place to take a stroll, but I wouldn't recommend it for children if the tide is out.
