Latest reviews on Richmond's beaches

Red Rock Beach
10 MD Rahimul

This place is definitely one of my favorites. I last visited on July 16, 2022. The massive rocks here are absolutely fantastic. It's also an excellent spot for rock climbing.

Rockaway Beach

The beach is absolutely stunning, with a lovely little hike to both the south and north side cliffs that provide breathtaking views. The sand is a darker shade, but still beautiful nonetheless. The sunset is a must-see, as the area is simply stunning during that time of day. For those looking for a dining experience, Nick's restaurant offers ocean view seating, live music, and dancing on Friday and Saturday nights.

China Beach
10 Javier Sanchez

Upon my initial visit to the beach, I was taken aback by the picturesque view of the bridge. Despite the beach's diminutive size, it was still a delightful sight to behold and pleasantly unpopulated.

Shelter Cove Beach
6 Mark Pal.

This particular beach is privately owned, and while it may be possible to reach it by water, the stairs leading down to the shoreline are considered to be private property. Despite this, the scenery is truly breathtaking and offers a stunning view of the surrounding area.
