The staff at the beach are friendly and speak pretty good English. There is a coral reef at the private beach and free snorkeling equipment available at the reception. The surrounding nature is wild, with encounters with a 3-meter Komodo dragon, a cobra, and a poisonous sea snake near the hotel. The hotel is exotic, with a jungle in the backyard. The hotel is slightly worn down but everything works. There is no TV in the room, which is fine given the pristine location, but a refrigerator would be a nice upgrade. Wifi is only available at the restaurant and the 4G internet is slow, giving a nostalgic atmosphere. The food at the restaurant is good if you stick to local dishes, but the drinks are not great. The nearby Tanya Resort has the best mojito, and their special cocktails are amazing. The journey to another hotel or beach involves a 10-minute jungle road or swimming. The location is exotic, relaxing, and not touristy. However, the service is chaotic, with confusion when leaving the island and delays in boat pick-ups. It is difficult to trust what they say.

I stayed at the beach resort for 8 nights, which may seem like a lot, but I really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. It was exactly what I needed after weeks of island hopping. I spent the first few nights in a poolside bungalow and the last few nights in a different room with air-conditioning. The rooms were old but clean and spacious, with great air-conditioning and hot water. The beds and pillows were comfortable for me. Wi-Fi was only available in the reception and restaurant area, but I had signal with my TRUE Simcard throughout the hotel, although it was weaker in my room. The staff were friendly and helpful, working long hours. The hotel provided snorkeling gear and kayaks free of charge, and you can snorkel off the hotel beach, just be cautious of low tide. I preferred snorkeling at high tide for clearer visibility and saw Sea Snakes, Puffer Fish, and Clownfish, among other fish. The swimming pool was clean and had toys for children. Breakfast was buffet style with a variety of options, although it was pretty much the same every day. The food in the restaurant was tasty but priced higher than other places in Thailand. Alcohol was available for purchase, as well as snacks and other items at the reception shop. The resort is very remote, but you can access other beaches by Longtail boat taxi, kayak, or walking, just be aware of snakes, scorpions, and lizards. Overall, I was happy with my time at the resort and would recommend it to others. Thank you Koh Ngai Resort and all the staff for a great stay.

We stayed at the beach for a few days and really enjoyed it. While the resort may not be the newest and the rooms aren't as luxurious as those in 5-star resorts, they were comfortable enough for a good night's sleep and relaxing on the balcony. Our room had AC that worked well and the hot water in the shower was consistent. The breakfast buffet offered a variety of Asian and Western options and was quite tasty. The restaurant and shop on the property were a bit pricey, but there weren't many cheaper alternatives on the island. The food at the restaurant was delicious, especially the local cuisine. The resort also had a nice pool with salty water and a private beach that varied in size with the tide. One of the best perks of the resort was the free kayaks and snorkeling gear available for rent at the reception desk. The staff was friendly and helpful, and having a pier on the island was a convenient feature. It's about a 15-minute walk along the waterfront to the main beach, so I recommend wearing better shoes than flip flops. We also highly recommend taking a snorkeling trip to Koh Rok, which we booked through the reception and was the highlight of our 2-month stay in Asia. One thing to note is that the sound of cicadas on the island can be very loud, especially in the evening, which may cause headaches for some. The WiFi signal was weak and only available in public areas of the resort, but slow internet reception seemed to be a common issue on the island. A few days without internet won't hurt anyone, right? Overall, we were satisfied with our stay and glad we chose this resort.

Our family of five stayed at Koh Ngai Resort for four nights and had a fantastic time. The location was ideal for snorkeling and kayaking, with the resort providing free masks and kayaks. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the buffet breakfast offered a variety of foods, including fresh fruits daily. We booked two rooms with direct views of the pool and beach, which our kids (aged 10-15) loved for the convenience. We highly recommend this resort.

The staff was friendly, the vegetarian food was excellent, and the views from the beach were stunning. Guests can enjoy free snorkeling, kayaking, and volleyball. The only drawback was that our room was located near a loud, high-pitched noise (possibly from the power source) that was particularly bothersome from 6pm to 6am for an hour or two. However, if you stay further away from the noise, it shouldn't be too much of an issue.
