In the end, we ended up really liking this place, despite a few initial drawbacks. Getting to the resort can be a bit of a challenge, especially during low tide, so it's important to communicate with the front desk beforehand. The resort itself is beautiful, with well-maintained grounds, lovely decorations, and plenty of comfortable furniture like hammocks and lounge chairs. The pool is especially nice, with clean water and wooden floors. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a firm bed and a large bathroom. The staff is attentive and friendly, always willing to help with anything you need. The resort is located in a peaceful area next to a dense forest, so you'll hear plenty of interesting wildlife sounds. However, the breakfast is only mediocre, and the restaurant food is decent but overpriced. While there are some limitations to what you can do at the resort, such as being stuck there unless you take a boat, there are still plenty of activities like kayaking and snorkeling. Just be aware that there are some dangerous sea creatures in the area. One thing to keep in mind is that there is no WiFi in the rooms, which may be a downside for some. Additionally, there are no medical facilities on the island, so it's important to have travel insurance in case of an emergency. Overall, we had a great time at this resort and would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing getaway.

Overall, we really liked and enjoyed this place, but it took a few days to appreciate its charm, despite a few negatives. The resort is very remote, and it can be challenging to get there if the tide is low. You will need to communicate with the front desk the day before your arrival. It's a beautiful resort with nice grounds, lovely decorations, and beautiful wood furniture everywhere. There are hammocks, lounge chairs, and everything is fairly new and well taken care of. The pool is super clean and has nice wood floors around it with lounge chairs. The rooms and public areas are spotless. They clean your room every day. The staff is very attentive and nice. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean. The bed is on the firm side (at least for me). The bathroom is big. If you need extra pillows, blankets, or ice, they will get it for you. It's very quiet and peaceful, next to a dense forest, so you'll hear some unbelievable bird sounds and other critters. There's tons of interesting wildlife around. The breakfast is mediocre, in our opinion, but they did have some nice dishes at times. Their restaurant food is decent but overpriced. We're foodies and picky, and had incredible food in Chiang Mai, Railay, and Koh Jum, so we have high standards. There's a tiny food shack next door (Tour) that has really good food. You're stuck there because it's the only resort, and you can't leave unless you're on a boat, but if there's a low tide, you can't go anywhere. You can kayak (free), they have snorkel equipment and nice snorkeling on both sides of the resort (but the equipment is cheap, so you may want to bring your own), the pool, and that's pretty much it. You can hike to the other side of the island, where there's more action, but it's a bit of a strenuous hike, and you will need to be in good shape. There are Komodo dragons along the way, scavenging on a pile of trash because that's how some people on the island (locals? Tourists?) dispose of it. But not this resort. There's no WiFi in the rooms, which was kind of annoying for us, but if you're willing to disconnect, have peace and quiet except for the animals, and relax, this is the place to do it. There are big jellyfish, huge sea urchins, and stingrays, and people have gotten hurt. Not

The beach has a beautiful setting and the staff are generally friendly and peaceful. The food and drinks are decent, but on the pricier side for Thailand. The rooms are nice and affordable, but there is no WiFi in the rooms. The free kayaks are a nice bonus.

4 Frustrating

The beach is pleasant, but the food is expensive and lacks flavor. It lacks a sense of character and energy. I have never witnessed such a scarcity of smiles in Thailand.

It's an incredible destination. We've been exploring different islands for a total of 2.5 months, and this particular island has its own unique atmosphere. There are no scooters, and it relies heavily on the tides, making it less crowded. The vibrant vegetation adds a whole new level to the Thai experience. Last winter, we stayed in Coco village on the main beach, which was also an amazing place. We even went on a short jungle trek on the other side. At that time, Paradise Beach resort was closed and abandoned, giving it an apocalyptic feel. However, we were fortunate enough to return to this beach and noticed that it had reopened. It's a very peaceful beach with a small resort. The nights are incredible, and the coral reefs are still untouched, making it perfect for snorkeling (bring your own gear). There are no shops on this island, so make sure to bring everything you might need before boarding your boat.
