I've never come across a beach quite like this one before! The scattered driftwood adds a breathtaking touch to the natural ambiance. Being here with my husband and dog brings me great satisfaction. Although there's a $10 fee to park inside Jekyll Island, it's definitely worth it! The water is a bit muddy and not too cold, and there are a few things to be cautious about. I encountered a variety of unfamiliar insects, some of which bit me. One particular large insect managed to pierce my skin, causing quite a flow of blood from my leg. It certainly wasn't a mosquito, sandfly, or horsefly. So, make sure to be cautious and have some insect repellent handy.
