Horizon beach

What we really liked about the beach resort was that it was very well maintained and in good shape. The gardens were beautiful, and the rooms were modern, clean, and recently renovated. The beds were comfortable, the air conditioning wasn't too noisy, and all the windows had fly-nets to keep mosquitoes out. The food had a good variety and high hygienic standards. The fresh fruits were delicious, and we even had the best peach of the year there. There were also four very nice pools, an empty fridge in the room, and a mini market in the resort. Since water is limited in this part of the world, the shower had minimal pressure, which was perfectly fine and enough to enjoy. This just showed their commitment to using limited resources responsibly. Additionally, the mini market provided biodegradable bags instead of plastic. There were only a few things that we felt could be improved upon. The free coffee at breakfast was awful and we wouldn't have it again. There was also no coffee machine in the room. Surprisingly, there was no complimentary still water for dinner or in the room, and guests had to pay for it. It's unusual for a hotel not to provide at least one complimentary bottle of water in the room. The safe also required a daily fee of €3, which seemed unnecessary for a 4-star resort. The towels were only €2.50 for the entire stay, but the size was too small. We could change them up to 4 times, but it would have been better if they were larger. The cocktails were expensive and honestly disappointing. For example, the Pina Colada didn't have cream, only coconut syrup, so it tasted more like a super sweet juice for €7.50, which is a normal price for a "fake" version. The juices at breakfast didn't taste real either; they seemed to be made from syrup. However, fresh orange juice was available for an extra charge. The food wasn't spicy at all, but at least there were some spices at the buffet to add some flavor. The shower was in the bathtub, so you had to "climb" in, which was a bit inconvenient. Lastly, we had two separate beds that kept moving apart. It would have been much better if there was a king-size bed available. Overall, we would definitely recommend this resort. The prices were fair, and the staff was very friendly and polite. Our recommendation for improvement would be to replace the awful free coffee and improve the quality of the cocktails to better reflect the resort's ambition to be a 4-star establishment. We would have loved to sit at the bar in the evening and enjoy our cocktails, but the known quality simply kept us away.

This family-friendly resort offers spacious and modern rooms that are both comfortable and welcoming. Unlike large hotels, this resort is surrounded by lush greenery and charming small houses, creating a more intimate atmosphere. The private and well-maintained beach is accompanied by four pools with ample beach beds, ensuring a relaxed and uncrowded experience. The friendly ambiance of the resort is further enhanced by the excellent service, particularly from Christos at Symposium, who went above and beyond to accommodate our special requests. Additionally, the buffet-style food is of high quality, and the option to dine at the a la carte restaurant, Mosaic, for a small additional fee is highly recommended. This fine dining experience includes a delightful 4-course dinner and a selection of delicious drinks. Throughout the day, there are various bars and tavernas offering reasonably priced and delectable menus. The resort also conveniently features a mini market where essential items, including diapers and baby food, can be purchased. The only area that could use improvement is the reception, as the staff there were slightly less friendly and provided outdated information. Overall, if you are seeking a resort-style family vacation, this highly recommended destination offers great value for money.

The room is spacious, tidy, and contemporary, with a peaceful ambiance and a sea view. Guests have the option to dine at either of the two restaurants, which are included in the price. The hotel facilities are well-maintained and hygienic. There is an entertainment program that caters to all guests. While the hotel is situated a bit far from the nearest city, there is a supermarket conveniently located within the premises. Moreover, there is another supermarket situated right across from the hotel. The beach adjacent to the hotel is pleasant and well-kept.

The experience was absolutely delightful. We arrived on June 22nd and the initial days were absolutely fantastic. As each day passed, there was an increasing number of families with young children, and by the final day, June 30th, we were quite exhausted from the constant noise of children screaming by the pool. This resort is truly stunning, with a wonderful beach and delicious food. The quality of service in the restaurant varies depending on the server. Some of them lack experience, while others are exceptional. The superior room with a beach view is highly recommended, as the sunsets are breathtaking. The rooms themselves were peaceful, except for the occasional sound of children screaming from the room downstairs, specifically in the bathroom. I would suggest visiting during the off-season, either late May/early June or September, in hopes of encountering fewer families. This resort primarily caters to families, so if you're not particularly fond of children or their enthusiastic parents, it may not be the ideal choice for you. Overall, it was a good experience, but not flawless, hence the 4-star rating.
