Lovely and expansive castle complex. Closed from 2 p.m. until evening in September. Located past the 6 windmills of Leros. The chapel within the castle is home to a famous image of the Virgin Mary, drawing in pilgrims. It was definitely worth a visit, as we were nearly the only ones there. The views of 3 bays and Panteli were magnificent.

4 Frustrating

It's superior to other beaches on the island, but there are numerous slippery stones. The water was clear, but not completely crystal clear. You can catch a glimpse of the large ferry boat as it departs from the port.
