There's a small beach in Kamara, just north of Gourna, situated on a rocky hill overlooking the sea. If you take the steps down, you'll find yourself on the sandy shore. Nearby, there's a charming church named Agios Isidoros, located among the rocks. The church has balconies and stone benches, and the old sunken harbor is right next to it. It's definitely worth checking out!

I'm not sure if it's suitable for swimming, but it's definitely worth taking a stroll along the beach. It's considered a significant landmark of Leros, and you shouldn't miss the opportunity to take a photo with the charming little church in the background.

The Church of Agios Isidoros on Leros Island is undeniably one of the most stunning spots to visit. Although the journey to get there may not be simple, the breathtaking views that await you are worth the effort. Particularly at sunset, the scenery is absolutely enchanting. Make sure to allocate enough time to fully appreciate this magical location.

8 Very good

The beach across from the church of Agios Isidoros can be reached through a concrete road and a small alley between two plots, but it doesn't offer much. It's deserted even during high season and has a swampy, metallic smell. Additionally, there are wind turbines on top of the mountain above the beach.

Nestled in the Bay of Gourna, the Agios Isidoros Chapel on Leros Island is a breathtaking sight to behold. Perched on a cliff just 50 meters from the sea, this chapel is accessible by a narrow bridge, making it a convenient stop for those traveling by foot or bike. The chapel boasts stunning views of the island's most beautiful sunsets, making it a popular destination for couples seeking a romantic getaway. Legend has it that the chapel houses a miraculous icon of Saint Isidore, which was caught in the net of a one-handed fisherman. The grateful fisherman built the chapel in the spot where he caught the icon, and it has since become a popular wedding destination for couples. Whether you're exploring Leros by bike or on foot, a visit to the Chapel of St. Isidore is a must-see experience.
