If you're seeking solitude, this beach is a hidden gem worth the effort. While getting there may be a bit of a challenge, the reward is crystal clear waters and a peaceful atmosphere. Unlike other beaches on the north side of the island, this one remains untouched. For an even quieter experience, neighboring Vlychada beach is even better with fewer visitors. It's no surprise that this beach ranks among the top on the island. Plus, it's sheltered from the north, ensuring a calm and relaxing day by the sand and pristine waters. This beach is truly a sight to behold and a must-visit for any beach lover.

Pyrgos Beach, named after the Venetian tower constructed in 1200AD, is a stunning destination that is definitely worth a visit. Although the tower was tragically destroyed in 1900 when it became the target of an incoming English battleship, the beach still retains its natural beauty and charm. With its crystal clear waters and soft sand, Pyrgos Beach is the perfect place to relax and soak up the sun. Whether you're looking for a peaceful escape or an exciting adventure, Pyrgos Beach is sure to impress.

In the middle of September, we stumbled upon the secluded Pyrgos pebble beach, which exuded untamed beauty with its clear, glistening waters and rocky outcrops that flanked either side. As we basked in the serene surroundings, six playful goats appeared from atop the rocks, providing us with delightful company. This hidden gem lies just beyond the promontory that separates it from the expansive Vlikada beach.

This beach is supposedly amazing, but let's be real, it's just like any other beach. Sure, the road to get there may be a bit of a challenge, but what's the point of going if it's not a little bit of an adventure? The area is pretty, but let's not act like it's the most breathtaking view you'll ever see. And yeah, it's not usually crowded, but that's probably because people have caught on to the fact that it's nothing special. As for swimming naked...I mean, sure, I guess you could. But let's not forget that there are other people around who may not appreciate the view. And don't even get me started on the jellyfish situation. Who wants to go to the beach and not be able to enjoy the water? Overall, this beach is overhyped and not worth the effort to get there.
