4 Frustrating

The beach is only worth visiting for the impressive remnants of the extraction activity on the island, which include a rusted bridge hanging above the sea. However, the beach itself is not worth your time. It resembles a smaller version of the untidy and polluted water found in Livadi. I recommend going there during the golden hour to capture stunning photos of the industrial archeological site, and then heading to a quality restaurant on the opposite side of the island.

This beach is definitely not the finest on the island and it can get quite crowded if you're looking for a spot to relax. However, it's worth taking a quick stroll if you're intrigued by old mining equipment and abandoned houses.

The beach near Koutalas is quite small, and it tends to get crowded as it is located between tavernas and the water. However, the color of the water is truly stunning, and there are plenty of tamerici trees where you can relax. The beach has a charming old-fashioned atmosphere that takes you back to the time of the mines. On the left side, you can even find a neoclassical palace, and if you walk up the street, you'll come across some mining wagons. Additionally, local people often gather under the trees to play backgammon. Parking is easily available along the road.

The beach is pleasant for a brief swim, although it may not be the top choice because of its location (the water reaches right up to the shore, leaving limited space for sitting). Additionally, there are old mining equipment and a bridge nearby that are worth a visit.

The beach has a strange ambiance due to the remnants of the area's mining history. It is advisable to park your car right before reaching the beach and explore the old mining equipment. The beach itself is extremely small, making it impossible to lay down a towel. Unfortunately, there is a strong odor of cat urine and feces on the tavern terraces, which is quite unpleasant. Despite my fondness for cats, the stench was overwhelming, so we decided to have a drink and leave rather than stay any longer.
