The beach is in a great location and is absolutely beautiful. There are also plenty of entertainment options and fabulous restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is clean and the rooms are a good size. It was disappointing, however, that despite being a family-run hotel, the owners only seemed to make an effort with certain guests. They would only speak to us if we were asking for money for sun loungers. On the other hand, the staff were fantastic and made us feel extremely welcome. Henila and Silver, in particular, were amazing and really made our stay special. It would be great to have more English TV channels to choose from and a better walk path on the beach, as there were gaps that caused our feet to burn. Despite these minor issues, we would definitely come back. The breakfast didn't offer much choice, but thankfully it is going to change to a buffet soon. Emma & Colin

If you ask me, this place doesn't even deserve a single star. My vacation here was terrible—I stayed at this hotel a few years ago and had a really bad experience. The rooms were far from excellent, despite what I had read. The management was awful, and the owner treated us poorly, as if we were enemies. It wasn't because we caused any trouble, but rather because she clearly lacked respect. On our last day, she tried to greet us by shaking hands, but called us uncooperative, as if we were at a police headquarters. Oh, and I almost forgot about the Albanian waiter who served us breakfast one morning. He angrily threw our cups on the table for no apparent reason... I have no idea what we did to upset him. All I want to say is that they should learn how to run a tourist business and treat everyone well, not just those they like. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

We visited during mid-October, which is considered off-season. Our experience was a bit mixed. The hotel is conveniently located near the beach. It wasn't too crowded in October, but we can imagine it gets busier during the main season. The sun beds cost 12 euros, which we found to be quite expensive. However, there is also the option to use the ones at the pool for free. We preferred going to Patamos or other beaches instead. The rooms are modern and clean, and the beds are comfortable. However, don't expect any special amenities. They charge 7 euros per day for using the air conditioning and 4 euros for a safe. If you're sensitive to noise at night, it's better to choose a sea view room. There was constant noise from the street, and we can only imagine how it is during the high season. The breakfast was okay. It mostly consisted of the same items every day, such as ham, cheese, bread, butter, jam, and sometimes bacon and eggs. They also served fruits and coffee, but it was always served on a plate rather than a buffet. The service was kind, and we especially appreciated the great job done by Costa, who we assume is the owner's son. The drinks at the hotel bar were excellent. In terms of location, to be honest, Malia and Stalis were disappointing. There is one main road with very little space for pedestrians, as it is filled with buses, scooters, quads, and rental cars. The city mainly consists of touristy shops, car rentals, and restaurants. There is no old town to be seen, and you have to walk a bit to reach it. While we did have some decent cocktails in the more expensive bars, the food in the restaurants of Malia was mediocre. Don't be fooled by their good reviews. Instead, check out the small old town of Malia. We were happy to finally get our rental car and explore other parts of the island.

The hotel and its location right on the beach are absolutely fantastic. The food at the beach bar SummerTime is both reasonably priced and incredibly delicious, and the cocktails are simply delightful. It's also very convenient to arrange trips as the tour companies pick you up right outside. The free breakfast is consistently good, with slight changes in the menu each day. The staff members are incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely caring. I would definitely choose to stay here again without any hesitation.

Looking for an experience filled with unpleasantness and noise? This hotel, far from the serene seaside retreat promised on Tripadvisor and its own website, delivers just that. Contrary to its claim of offering rooms with views of the "deep blue of Cretan Sea," what you get are rooms overlooking a noisy road, complemented by the sounds of party music and drunken singing, perfect for drowning out the ceaseless traffic noise. Inside, the rooms, though spotlessly clean, are starkly bare. Our two rooms, booked for our family, lacked basic amenities: no shampoo, conditioner, soap bars, cups, mini bar, shower caps, sewing kits, slippers, or beach towels. The only soap available required a walk from the shower to a wall-mounted pump. A notable feature in the rooms are the plastic-covered bed liners on twin mattresses, which crinkle noisily with every movement, reminiscent of sleeping in a bag of chips at a disco. The decor in the suite, best left to be seen rather than described, is a sight to behold. Management's approach is direct and confrontational, offering blunt responses rather than solutions. When we pointed out a broken toilet seat and a door with a gaping hole, the owner dismissed our concerns with excuses of high season busyness and assurances we wouldn’t be charged for the damages. Breakfast, though included, is an uninspiring array of dry bread, soggy cheese, a slice of tomato, and a few slices of cucumber. The hotel's atmosphere is far from family-friendly. The presence of an intoxicated individual at the bar early in the morning and foul-mouthed guests in the hallways provide a questionable educational experience for children about safety and life goals. I could elaborate further, but experiencing it firsthand is the only way to truly understand. And let's not forget the rude and dismissive staff. My advice? Steer clear of this place.
