Looking for an experience filled with unpleasantness and noise? This hotel, far from the serene seaside retreat promised on Tripadvisor and its own website, delivers just that. Contrary to its claim of offering rooms with views of the "deep blue of Cretan Sea," what you get are rooms overlooking a noisy road, complemented by the sounds of party music and drunken singing, perfect for drowning out the ceaseless traffic noise.
Inside, the rooms, though spotlessly clean, are starkly bare. Our two rooms, booked for our family, lacked basic amenities: no shampoo, conditioner, soap bars, cups, mini bar, shower caps, sewing kits, slippers, or beach towels. The only soap available required a walk from the shower to a wall-mounted pump. A notable feature in the rooms are the plastic-covered bed liners on twin mattresses, which crinkle noisily with every movement, reminiscent of sleeping in a bag of chips at a disco.
The decor in the suite, best left to be seen rather than described, is a sight to behold. Management's approach is direct and confrontational, offering blunt responses rather than solutions. When we pointed out a broken toilet seat and a door with a gaping hole, the owner dismissed our concerns with excuses of high season busyness and assurances we wouldn’t be charged for the damages.
Breakfast, though included, is an uninspiring array of dry bread, soggy cheese, a slice of tomato, and a few slices of cucumber.
The hotel's atmosphere is far from family-friendly. The presence of an intoxicated individual at the bar early in the morning and foul-mouthed guests in the hallways provide a questionable educational experience for children about safety and life goals.
I could elaborate further, but experiencing it firsthand is the only way to truly understand. And let's not forget the rude and dismissive staff. My advice? Steer clear of this place.
