Plaka Beach is a hidden gem that shouldn't be missed when visiting Naxos. The stunning golden sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters create a picturesque setting that locals and tourists adore. But it's not just the beauty that makes this beach special. The calm and inviting waters are perfect for a relaxing swim or simply lounging on the shore. Whether you're looking to soak up the sun, take a leisurely stroll, or just enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, Plaka Beach has something for everyone. What makes it even better is how easy it is to get there. A simple bus ride from town means you don't have to worry about complicated travel plans or long journeys. If you're in Naxos and want a beach experience that combines beauty, tranquility, and convenience, Plaka Beach is a must-visit. It's a wonderful escape that guarantees a memorable time.

The beach had a pleasant atmosphere with its smooth sand. Surprisingly, it wasn't crowded at all. However, it did feel a bit chilly in October. Unfortunately, Apple Maps provided inaccurate directions, so it's best to rely on Google Maps or Waze instead.

Why go to the Caribbean when we have the beautiful beaches of Greece so close to us in Europe? Plaka beach is our favorite in Naxos, along with Agia Anna beach. The beach is incredibly long, taking about 45-60 minutes to walk its entire length, and has fine to grainy white sand. On this side of the island, the wind is much calmer compared to the southern part. From Agia Anna to halfway down the beach, there are some restaurants on the back street with beach chairs. Beyond that, the beach becomes more natural with occasional hotels and restaurants. We came across 3 or 4 nudist areas along the beach, making it quite inclusive. I highly recommend taking the bus to get there, as a round trip ticket costs less than 5€, while renting a car will set you back at least 50€ per day, not to mention the expensive petrol at 2€ per liter. The last bus drops you off at approximately halfway down the beach.

This beach is like a dream come true for me! The sand, the water, and the laid-back atmosphere are absolutely perfect. You can easily rent comfortable loungers for around €15 per set in September, and there are also charming restaurants, taverns, and boutique hotels nearby that add to its overall charm. It's definitely one of my top favorites!

The beach has white sand and is less crowded than Prakopios beach. You can also spot small fish near the shore.
