Situated a bit of a distance away from the hustle and bustle of the city center, roughly an hour's ride from the Kuta/Legian area, this beach is still a must-visit destination that is well worth the journey.
There's no admission fee, only a nominal 5k charge for motorcycle parking. A brief 5-10 minute walk down a stairway path leads you to the beach, which may not be accessible for wheelchair-bound individuals. However, the sight of a sandy beach surrounded by stone canyons is a reward in itself.
The stone canyon formations are incredibly stunning. The beach itself is quite spacious, essentially a small bay with a length of 100 meters. The waves are sizable enough for surfing, and visitors should make sure to explore the left side of the beach. A little bit of crawling may be required, but the view from that spot is unparalleled. Highly recommended, but caution should be taken when navigating the slippery rocks and large waves.
Overall, this is one of Bali's finest beaches that should not be missed.
