I stayed overnight at this beach in my van and found it to be very peaceful and comfortable. There are amenities such as drinking water, a restroom, and a shower available. I saw a cassowary on the road nearby, but thankfully not on the beach. The sunrise was very pleasant.

I stayed in Mission Beach hoping to see some cassowaries on my way to Cairns, but unfortunately had no luck. Locals suggested I visit Etty Bay, where sightings are almost guaranteed. Despite my visit there, I still didn't see any cassowaries. However, as I continued my journey north, I finally spotted one wandering beside the road. So, it seems like there's a good chance of spotting one if you're willing to try your luck!

This beach in the North is one of the most charming, unspoiled, and stunning beaches around. The walk behind the sandy shore is simply lovely.

The beach is fantastic! It's secluded, but definitely worth the drive to catch a glimpse of some Cassowaries. Just a word of caution, do not attempt to feed them! There are also plenty of tiny sand dollars scattered around the rocks.

This beach is stunning, offering a perfect view of where the rainforest meets the sea. There are stinger nets and public toilets available, as well as a small playground that is fully exposed to the sun. Keep an eye out for the local cassowary that often strolls along the beach.
