We initially went to Thirdwave, but the waves were too choppy. After getting a tip from the guys at the board rental shop, we decided to come here, and they were spot on! The waves were perfect for longboarding, with some nice, small, gentle sets 🥰. Plus, there was plenty of parking available in the area.

A fantastic beach bustling with surfers. As the first stop on the Great Ocean Road Tour, it was undeniably beautiful and serene.

It's conveniently located near the kids' beach and the Torquay Lifesaving Club, making it a great spot to bring your children for some fun. In addition to enjoying the waves, the right side of the surf beach offers another kind of beauty. You can admire the rocks along the shore, but be cautious of the small rocks scattered along the way. I spent time walking around, sunbathing, and surfing on the beach, and the hours just flew by. It tends to get more crowded around 5 to 6 pm, with more people arriving to swim and enjoy the beach.

The waves here are fantastic and ideal for novice to intermediate surfers, depending on the conditions. There are plenty of parking spaces, though it can get quite busy during the summer months. Outdoor showers are available, along with nearby changing rooms and toilet facilities. Dogs are allowed off-leash during certain times of the year, which is a great perk. Surfboard rentals and food/drink options are about a 10-minute walk from the beach.
