If you're looking for a fantastic beach to spend quality time with your family, Torquay Beach is the place to go! The beach is incredibly family-friendly, with gentle waves and soft sand that's perfect for kids to play on. Our children absolutely loved building sandcastles and splashing around in the shallow waters. Getting to Torquay Beach from Melbourne CBD is a breeze - it only takes about 1 to 1.5 hours by car. The drive itself is quite pleasant, with beautiful scenery along the way. One of the great things about Torquay Beach is that the surrounding area has plenty of excellent restaurants. After a fun-filled day at the beach, you can easily find a nice spot to grab a bite to eat with the family. There's a good variety of cuisines available, so everyone can find something they like. Overall, Torquay Beach is an ideal destination for a family day out. With its kid-friendly atmosphere, convenient location, and great nearby amenities, it ticks all the boxes for a perfect beach getaway. Highly recommended for families looking to create some wonderful memories together!

The beach is absolutely amazing, offering breathtaking views and plenty of delicious dining options nearby. Plus, you'll find convenient shower facilities and an outdoor rinse shower area.

It’s a very nice beach, especially on a sunny day. The town of Torquay is one of my favourite places nearby Melbourne, which is just around 40-60 minutes drive away from Melbourne CBD. You can swim, surf or simply lay down on the beach. It also offers a few cafes nearby where you can have some proper lunch or simply grab a tea or a coffee

Beautiful. I liked the fact there were bins and dog poo bags available. Shame some people didn't use them. This is a gorgeous beach and a great place for a long walk in lovely scenery.

Absolutely stunning watching the morning sun rise over the beach. If you're not a fan of dogs it may upset you because it was puppy paradise with no less than 30 furry friends hanging out with their owners, playing in the water, on the beach, off lead/on lead and dear little Peggy who had accidentally stole someone's ball according to her Mum. It was just magical to see happy floofs everywhere. After the early morning rush came the families and sunbathers. A perfect set of tiny shore breakers to help the little ones learn the ropes, in September I would highly recommend a wetsuit, at 14 degrees little people get a touch chilly. Totally 1 of my top 5 reasons for coming back in November but this time with our own dog too!
