Ocean Grove Beach is located on the
Bass Strait and it is in the
3th place out of 7 beaches in the
Geelong region
The beach is
located in an urban area.
Have been here so many times and I love this beach! You can do lots of stuff here such as swimming, surfing, sunbathing, having a picnic, riding a bike, etc. Good facilities as well. Big car park, toilets and sitting area 👏🏽
Such a gorgeous place for a dip or a casual stroll and situated just below the clifftops where there are some remarkable cafes and eateries to really make a day of it.
There is easy access to get down to the beach by a gentle sloping pathway rather than stairs onto a pristine, clean beach that has change so much since my childhood.
Dogs are okay as long as they’re on leashes and of course their owner cleans up after them – that goes without saying but sadly we need to remind some owners to be mindful of others.
There’s a great look out at the top of the cliffs with heaps of seating available to while away the hours either enjoying the view or strolling along the beach, the choice is yours.
With more than an adequate amount of car spaces along the road above, there’s no problem getting a park even at peak times on both sides of the road.
Such a beautiful place to visit and only a short drive from the heart of Geelong. Now with everything opening up in Victoria, this is an old favourite that needs to be re-visited to get the economy going and to enjoy the new Ocean Grove beach if you haven’t seen it in a long while.
Well worth a visit.
Great spot for a relaxing day. Close to shops, cafes and supermarket in the centre of town. Gets a little overcrowded in the warmer seasons but can still be great for a dip in the ocean, surf, fish, boat or even a beer and chill. Local vibe varies from pretty laid back to pompous and arrogant..Our experiences have been pretty good so far. Would recommend!!
