This charming beach is a hidden gem, but beware of a potential scam at the entrance. The beach is divided into three sections, with two of them being privately owned by a hotel and two restaurants. Unfortunately, the hotel area is reserved for their guests only. Access to the beach can be gained by either taking a boat from Amalfi for 4 euros per person or walking down a staggering 460 steps from the road. To reach the entrance, you must head up the road from hotel Ninfa.
One of the restaurants, Lido Degli Artisti, employs an attendant at the top of the steps who falsely claims that visitors must pay 30 euros per person for a sunlounger to use the steps down to the beach. However, the other restaurant, I Due Scugnizzi, charges half that amount (30 euros for 2 loungers and a parasol), and there is also a public section available. I Due Scugnizzi is a great spot for lunch, with simple yet delicious beach shack cuisine at reasonable prices.
Despite the potential scam, the pebbled beach is beautiful, with crystal clear water. However, there are quite a few boats in the area, which is a common sight along the entire coast.
