Peter'S Beach

This beach offers a more budget-friendly option compared to its neighboring shore. While it's possible to reserve sunbeds in advance, you can also simply arrive and inquire on-site. As the rocky areas were already occupied, we were directed to the pier where the staff were incredibly helpful in guiding us to our designated beds and maintaining a clean and organized environment. Amenities such as a restaurant, bar, indoor restrooms, showers, and changing rooms were conveniently available. There were also multiple entry points to access the inviting sea. For a reasonable price of 48€, we were able to secure two sunbeds and an umbrella, while drinks were priced at around 8-12€.

The beach is absolutely stunning, with crystal clear and warm water. Additionally, it has black sand with pebbles.

The beach is a magnificent location for indulging in swimming and sunbathing, however, the costs are exorbitant. A staggering 20 euros are charged for a single sunbed, which can quickly add up if you are a group of five, resulting in a whopping 100 euros per day.

I must say, I was not particularly impressed by this beach. While Italy boasts some truly stunning stretches of sand, this one simply did not measure up. What's more, the cost of renting a bed and umbrella has recently increased to €24 euros per spot, which I found to be quite steep. To make matters worse, the service staff did not seem particularly friendly or welcoming. Rather, they treated us like just another face in the crowd. It was clear to me that, given its proximity to the train station, this beach knows it can rely on a steady stream of tourists to keep its business afloat.

Peter's Beach club area is truly a gem! Tucked away on the right side of the port, it's incredibly easy to access. During my five-day stay in Sorrento, I spent three of them lounging at Peter's Beach. For a reasonable fee of €20, I was able to rent a sun lounger on the rocks and it was worth every penny to have a place to relax and read. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to assist us with anything we needed. One day, we decided to grab lunch at the restaurant and ordered the quinoa and vegetable salad bowls, which were absolutely delicious. The prices at Peter's Beach were very reasonable and the atmosphere was fantastic. For just €16, you can rent a deck chair and an umbrella for €6. Accessing the beach is a breeze, either through the lift down to the port or by walking down the pathway. The beach is open from 9am-7pm and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sorrento.
