Salerno beach IV

The beach was a delightful sight, with its pristine cleanliness and refreshing pool. The best part was the easy access to the sea, allowing for a soothing dip in the ocean. During my visit in September, I happily paid 25 euro for a third row spot on the beach, which included two comfortable sunbeds and a handy umbrella.

I had an unpleasant experience at the beach that I have never encountered before. The staff were arrogant and lacked kindness, which made me feel unwelcome. The prices were exorbitant for what was offered, and the restaurant's food was so spicy that it made our noses run. Additionally, there were restrictions at the pool that prevented us from entering the water. While this was due to natural causes, it was still disappointing. Overall, the lack of hospitality and courtesy was unprecedented. The restaurant staff were even annoyed when I asked for a menu, and the bar had run out of sandwiches. It seemed as though the staff were aware of the restaurant's opening hours, yet still chose not to offer any assistance. It's frustrating when situations are misrepresented to benefit the establishment.

This seaside spot in Salerno is supposedly the top-notch lido, complete with a private beach and swimming pool. Apparently, it's a hit with families and lovebirds alike. If you're feeling peckish or parched, there's a restaurant and bar on site, and the barman, Pepe, is supposedly quite the charmer. We spent a few days here before moving on to greener pastures in Italy, and it was...fine.

The beach is a wonderful destination with a serene pool and a staff that is mostly welcoming and accommodating. However, we had a negative encounter with one particular staff member who exhibited a lack of friendliness and hospitality towards us. It is possible that he may have had a bias against foreigners, but this isolated incident should not detract from the overall pleasant experience at this lovely location.

If you're seeking a serene seaside retreat, the Lido in Salerno is an excellent choice. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and the facilities are immaculate. You'll have access to a refreshing swimming pool, invigorating zumba classes, and convenient changing rooms with lockers. Remember to bring your swimming cap to fully indulge in the aquatic delights on offer.
