I don't have any personal experience with the lido, but I have heard that the staff are friendly and professional. However, the concession area can be a bit of a hassle to deal with. The lido itself is quite large in comparison to the available space, taking up most of the beach area under the pier. This leaves very little room for the free beach area, with the lido even encroaching on the space in front of the stairs leading down to the sea. This seems to be a unique issue in Italy, as in other countries, hotels typically provide access to the beach with a few umbrellas for their guests. Unfortunately, in Italy, there are permanent structures with inadequate facilities, and it seems that the beaches, which should be a public resource, are more of a business opportunity for municipalities and operators.
