This beach on the south coast is among the most beautiful ones. You can easily rent snorkeling equipment for 5€ per day from the nearby diving school.

The beauty of the beach is truly breathtaking! Our time spent swimming here was nothing short of delightful. The water was refreshingly warm and inviting during our visit in July. However, I would suggest bringing swimming shoes as the stones can be quite large and walking barefoot may prove to be challenging. There are various ways to access the beach, including by cable car, on foot, or by parking your car halfway up. Additionally, it's worth noting that the beach is dog-friendly, which is a major plus for pet owners.

The beach may pose a challenge to those looking to take a dip, as the rocks can be slippery and scorching hot under the sun. However, once you make it into the water, you'll be greeted by a stunningly clear and tranquil environment, ideal for snorkeling. Additionally, there's a diving center in close proximity, and the amenities include clean showers, restrooms, and the opportunity to grab a quick bite or indulge in a full meal or refreshing beverage. Without a doubt, this beach is a personal favorite of mine on the island of Madeira.

Although the beach has a rocky terrain, the picturesque view of the bay makes it worth the visit. The restaurant on the beach is well-maintained and offers all the amenities one could ask for. However, if you're looking for a spot to swim in Madeira, there are better options available.
