Latest reviews on Madeira's beaches

Praia da Madalena do Mar
10 The Critiquist.

This pebble beach may be small, but it's perfectly adequate for a day out. It's situated at the end of the promenade from the main road, but it's recommended to park further up and walk down. The beach itself is entirely pebbled, and the current can be strong, so it's best to have company. Lifeguards aren't present in the area, so it's important to be cautious. The pier is a great spot for swimming or fishing. At the end of the promenade, you'll find a small playground for children and two cafes/bars where you can relax in the shade and grab a bite to eat or drink.

Alagoa beach
8 Larissa Novikova.

This beach is lovely and has a comfortable, intimate feel with its black sand. Additionally, there aren't many tourists around.

Praia da Laje
10 Sarina Kozmačić

Undoubtedly, this beach boasts of one of the most breathtaking natural pools globally, making it a sight to behold.
