The beach is absolutely lovely, boasting a plethora of fantastic bars in close proximity. Additionally, there are several delightful spots to take a refreshing dip in the ocean.

The beach, situated in close proximity to the Baleia museum, is a humble yet pristine stretch of sand. However, the museum itself may not be worth a visit. It is important to note that when the wind shifts, jellyfish tend to make their way to the shore, posing a potential threat to swimmers. Touching these creatures could result in a painful burn on the skin. Exercise caution during such times.

Without a doubt, this beach is my top pick among all the beaches I've ever visited. The waters are tranquil and crystal clear, while the sand is warm and immaculate. At either end of the beach, there are two bars where you can indulge in refreshing drinks and ice cream. The changing rooms are conveniently located and easily accessible. The scenery is breathtakingly beautiful, making it an ideal spot for taking pictures. This beach is perfect for families, as well as those who enjoy playing games and water activities. Spending a day at this beach while in Faial is an absolute must.

A petite yet picturesque sandy shoreline located adjacent to the whale museum is marred by an influx of plastic waste during the winter months, owing to the gusty climate and the waves that carry it from the vast expanse of the ocean.

This beach is a great spot for a rejuvenating dip in the sea. It's not overly packed and boasts a handful of charming eateries in the vicinity. The shoreline may seem slightly unkempt due to the abundance of seaweed-like vegetation, but venture further out and you'll find a diverse marine ecosystem teeming with life, ideal for snorkeling.
