Hugh and Long Beach on the south coast of Portugal, about a hour to the south of Porto. Dogs are not allowed in the high season, but by end of September there is nearly no one on the beach and you can go with the dog without issues. Enough parking spaces. Directly on the Atlantic Ocean you have to be careful in the water because of high waves. The beach is inviting for a long long walk on it for miles and miles. Before the the beach entry there is a small camping space close to the ALMA Cervejara Bar.

Fantastic beach for families. Really quite and beautiful. Be prepared to bring plenty of food and drink. Part of the charm of this place is that it is not commercialised. Lots of nearby towns to get supplies with good restaurants and cafes.
