6 Pleasant

The beach is not as great as people say. It's just a small strip of grass with palm trees, and there are always a lot of tourists. On top of that, they charge foreigners 200 baht just to enter! And if you want to rent a kayak to get there, that's another 200 baht. However, if you're able to negotiate with the locals on the island (yes, it's possible to haggle the price), then you can go. Otherwise, it's not really worth it.

4 Frustrating

The beach is absolutely stunning, but the experience is somewhat dampened by the exorbitant admission fee imposed on foreigners by the Thai government, which is a staggering 500% higher than the regular price. It's quite disheartening to think about how people would react if a Western country were to overcharge Thai tourists in a similar manner. Additionally, the boat ride to the island costs 100B per person, but this rate is only applicable when there are three or more individuals traveling together in December 2022. Unfortunately, there is an abandoned resort nearby, and the male showers are inaccessible or closed, while the toilets remain open. Overall, the beach is mainly suitable for taking picturesque photos, but even that becomes challenging when there are too many people around and the waters are not calm.

This stunning and small island is located in the southeast of Koh Chang. To get there, you can either rent a kayak or use an engine boat service. It only takes about 30 minutes of paddling with a kayak to reach the beautiful beaches. Since the island is a National Park, you will need to purchase a ticket. The ranger will collect the payment once you arrive at the beach. The fee is 40 baht for Thai nationals and 200 baht for foreigners. There is a narrow strip of land that separates the two beaches on the island. The beach on the south side is equipped with a floating pontoon. It's a wonderful journey through nature, with crystal clear waters just a short distance away from Koh Chang.

The island is incredibly beautiful! The beach is absolutely lovely. You can access the island by renting a kayak for 200 Baht. Upon arrival, foreigners are required to pay an admission fee of 200 Baht, while Thais only pay 40 Baht, as it is a natural park.

I rented a kayak and paddled for approximately 10 minutes to reach the beach. There is a fee of 200 baht that needs to be paid to the park rangers residing on the island. During my visit, there were only two rangers and myself on the island. You can find three or four large tables under the palm trees where you can sit or lie down. Apart from swimming or sunbathing, there are no other activities available on the island. However, that was exactly what I was looking for. Overall, it was a delightful little excursion that I highly recommend!
