Sunset Park beach

On September 22, 2022, we made a stop to witness the breathtaking sunset at the beach. The park was specially designed to provide visitors with a perfect view of the sunset. The park was equipped with comfortable benches, a table, and a dock. The park was well-maintained and spotlessly clean. However, it's important to note that most parks in the area are only open until dusk. The experience was truly delightful, and we had an unobstructed view of the sunset. Although the dock was the most popular spot, it was too small to accommodate more people. The waterline was beautiful, but a house adjacent to the park had a deck that partially blocked the sunset, which was disappointing. Overall, the park was a great place to watch the sunset, but it would have been even better if the dock was larger and could accommodate more people. Despite this, the experience was still enjoyable, and we would recommend the park to anyone who wants to witness a stunning sunset.

If you happen to be lodging in Marathon or Key Colony Beach, this small park is a wonderful spot to catch the sunset. Personally, I was interested in viewing the stars after dark, so I snapped a few photos using my Google Pixel 6 with Night Sight mode.

The beach is a pristine and stunning location with picturesque vistas. It serves as a serene setting for a family lunch, as it is free from any disturbance. Although swimming is not allowed, there are a handful of tiny seashells that can be gathered. All in all, it's a tranquil spot to unwind.

I really enjoyed this beach. It's a hidden gem on the way to Key West, and the town itself is fantastic for a quick stopover. You can easily find nearby accommodations and visit places like Sunset Park and Bahia Honda State Park. We visited during the day and loved it so much that we came back in the evening to watch the sunset. This place is not overhyped and is just as good as the sunset viewing in Key West. The park's name is definitely justified, as you'll witness a perfect sunset in the Keys. There are plenty of seating benches and the beach is clean, although it's not the best for swimming. You can at least dip your feet in the water, and there's also a pier for watching the sunset. The park has a lot of greenery, making it a must-visit. There are clean restrooms and ample parking available. Have a great time during your visit here!
