This public beach is fantastic and definitely worth a visit. Additionally, the beach has beautiful golden fine sand, making it even more enjoyable.

The beach offers excellent public access with no fees. There is ample parking, convenient utilities and shower facilities, and a wheelchair-friendly picnic table located under a gazebo at the dunes. It was perfect for my needs as I was only interested in taking some pictures of the pier. However, I was surprised to find out that they charge $15 for parking.

We had a great time at this beach access point while waiting for NC 12 to open. The restroom was clean and there was plenty of parking available. Additionally, the walkway with a gazebo was a nice touch. The beach itself had golden fine sand, which made for a pleasant experience.

I wouldn't suggest this beach if you enjoy taking long walks on the beach and soaking up the sun. However, it should be noted that the beach does have beautiful golden fine sand.
