Coquina Beach is undoubtedly one of the most breathtaking destinations I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. The amenities are top-notch, with showers, changing areas, bathrooms, and vigilant lifeguards to ensure your safety. The views are absolutely stunning, and the beach is impeccably clean, making it the perfect place to spend an entire day. However, I would urge caution when it comes to letting little ones swim alone, as the waves can be quite strong, even for experienced swimmers like myself. It's also worth noting that there is a riptide in the area, so solo swimming is not recommended. Despite these precautions, Coquina Beach remains a hidden gem that is well worth a visit. You won't have to worry about crowds, as this idyllic spot seems to be a well-kept secret. So pack your sunscreen and prepare for a day of pure bliss on this stunning stretch of sand.

If you're seeking a beach that offers long stretches of peaceful walks, then this is the perfect destination for you! You can easily walk for miles from here to Oregon Inlet and back, without any interruptions from the crowds. There's ample space to spread out and enjoy the serenity of the surroundings. However, it's important to note that this beach, like other outer bank beaches, is open to four-wheeled drive vehicles and rip tides are common in the area. Therefore, it's essential to keep a watchful eye on your children and valuable belongings. Despite these precautions, you'll surely have a delightful time basking in the beauty of this beach!

Fires are allowed on the beach and there is plenty of kindling available. During sundown, we were the only ones on the beach and enjoyed a beautiful view of the western horizon from the dunes.

This secluded beach is a hidden gem, perfect for those seeking solitude. Whether it's for a serene yoga session or a peaceful stroll along the shore, this beach offers a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The contrast of black and white sands creates a stunning natural canvas in the nearby dunes, and the abundance of sea birds will keep your furry friend entertained for hours. Plus, with a permit, you can even drive right onto the beach from the parking lot. Just be sure to pack your own provisions, as there are no nearby shops to replenish your supplies. But that's all part of the charm, isn't it? So come and bask in the beauty of the sunrise and sunset at this serene oasis.

When we went to the beach in October, there weren't many people around and it was well-maintained.
