Children's Pool La Jolla

The beach is absolutely stunning, with the added bonus of spotting seals lounging on the rocks and frolicking in the tranquil cove. Restrooms and shower facilities are conveniently located, making it easy to freshen up after a day in the sun. Although street parking is available, it may require a short walk from the more distant spots. A handful of vendors are situated nearby, offering a variety of food and trinkets for sale.

During our visit to the beach, we were unable to use the pool as it was temporarily closed due to the presence of sunbathing seals. What impressed me was the decision to prioritize the well-being of the wildlife over human convenience. The scenic beauty of this location is simply awe-inspiring and will leave you speechless. Although parking can be a hassle, it is worth walking a few blocks to reach this stunning spot. While the seagulls can be a bit intrusive in their search for food, they also provide amusing entertainment.

This beach is a fantastic destination for both children and adults. The pristine and well-maintained beaches are adorned with stunning rock formations that add to the natural beauty of the area. However, the children's beach is not suitable for kids due to the presence of playful sea lions. The crashing sound of the waves against the rocks is a breathtaking sight to behold. Additionally, there are ample facilities such as restrooms and shower rooms for visitors to freshen up after a swim. A portable drinking fountain is also available for convenience. The entire area is a feast for the eyes, with picturesque views in every direction.

The beach is an ideal location to witness the fascinating marine life and observe the visitors who are also captivated by its beauty. The months of March and April are particularly enchanting as the only ones enjoying the pool are the adorable California seal pups. Additionally, stray sea lions from neighboring areas, pelicans, and the ever-present seagulls can be spotted along with the playful ground squirrels.

The Children's Pool is a wondrous spot to witness the vibrant sea life in its shallow waters. One can easily spot the seals frolicking around the area. However, the jetty overlook can get quite crowded, making it a bit of a squeeze to navigate through the throngs of people. Nevertheless, it is an excellent location to bask in the breathtaking coastal vistas and observe the diverse wildlife.
